Eligibility Criteria
1. Head of Chair
- Qualification: PhD in Polymer / Materials / Chemical / Mechanical Engineering or Technology from an HEC recognized university OR MS/MSc in the same fields from an HEC recognized university.
- Experience: For PhD holders, a minimum of 8 years of research and/or industrial experience in polymer processing, materials development, and plastic sustainability is required. For MS/MSc holders, a minimum of 10 years of relevant experience in the polymer processing industry is mandatory.
- Age Limit: Maximum 65 years.
- Publications: Candidates must have a minimum of 8 research publications in HEC recognized journals.
2. Research Associate
- Qualification: Minimum undergraduate degree (BS/BSc Engineering) in Polymer / Materials / Chemical / Mechanical Engineering.
- Experience: Candidates must meet the minimum CGPA requirements in their respective degree programs as per university guidelines.
3. Technical Support Staff
- Qualification: FSc or DAE (1st Division) in Chemical/Mechanical OR Matric (1st Division).
- Experience: For FSc/DAE candidates, a minimum of 6 years of industrial experience in the polymer processing industry is required. For Matric candidates, a minimum of 8 years of industrial experience is required.
- Skills: Must possess practical expertise in operating and maintaining polymer processing equipment, including extruders, injection molding, blow molding, blown film, and calendars.
Salary Information
The department offers a highly attractive, all-inclusive monthly salary package for these positions, along with performance-based annual increments:
- Head of Chair: PKR 450,000/- per month.
- Research Associate: PKR 80,000/- per month.
- Technical Support Staff: PKR 70,000/- per month.
