The Directorate General of Mines & Minerals, Government of the Punjab, regulates mining and mineral development across the province. Its Project Management Unit (PMU) is implementing the project on the economic prospective of coal, iron ore, limestone and other industrial minerals in Koh-e-Suleman, Dera Ghazi Khan Division.
